Mary-Ellen has twenty years’ experience working as a spatial scientist with federal government, academia, in the private sector and for local and state government clients. She specialises in project development, management and documentation of technical and data-based projects, strategic and technical capacity building, and multi-agency and discipline coordination. She has concentrated on infrastructure projects for the last ten years, working in the transport, water, energy, telecommunications sectors.
Mary-Ellen is particularly interested in the visualisation, quantification and analysis of risk spatially and temporally. She enjoys helping agencies understand risk across their portfolios of assets and through programs of works.
Mary-Ellen often participates in corridor and program reviews for property reservation, stakeholder analysis and engagement and asset optimisation and has done so for Transport for NSW, Roads and Maritime Services, Queensland Rail, the NSW Telco Authority, NSW Spatial Services and Sydney Water.
Mary-Ellen specialised in GIS as an undergraduate, spatial data infrastructure as a postgraduate and is trained in climate change modelling system SimClim. She has strengths in stakeholder engagement and coordination of multidisciplinary projects including feasibilities, constraints studies, multicriteria assessments and managing infrastructure data for programs.
