Ben du Bois is the Assistant Director, Commercial Markets and Analysis, within the Department of Infrastructure, Regional Development and Cities. He undertakes cost estimate reviews of projects seeking Commonwealth funding, as well as the development of the Department’s cost estimation policy and associated technical guidance material. A key role is the provision of advice regarding the cost and risk of multi-billion dollar transport infrastructure projects for which Commonwealth Government funding is being sought.
Ben has degrees in civil engineering, pavement engineering, and teaching with experience across a number of different government sectors. His current interests lie in quantitative risk modelling and analysis and in the development of the best tools and model structure to quantify uncertainty at each stage of the project life cycle.
